Conference: Church and Synagogue: Conceptions of Community in Theology and History

In honor of the 50th anniversary of Nostra Aetate, which put the relationship between the Church and Jews on a new footing, the Department of Theology of the University of Notre Dame will host a conference on on ‘Church and Synagogue: Conceptions of Community in Theology and History.’ The conference, sponsored in part by the Abrams Chair for Jewish-Christian Dialogue and the Liss Endowment for Jewish Studies, will feature keynote lectures on conceptions of community in Judaism and Christianity in antiquity, the medieval world, and modernity.
