Steven Dusing (Commissioner)

Hometown: Brookfield, Wisconsin

Major: Mechanical Engineering

What I like best about living in Morrissey: I like Morrissey's location (right between Howard and Lyon's and across from Pangborn)

Random Fact: I play for Notre Dame's Men's Club Volleyball Team

Advice to Freshmen: My advice to Freshmen is plagiarized from Wiz Khalifa "work hard, play hard".  Find that  balance.  Meet new people.  And don't be so afraid to get in that stir fry or omelet line at the dining hall that you don't try it until your second semester... I know it can be intimidating, but learn from my mistakes.

Funny Fact about another staff member: If your friends with Andrew Glover... you best come to college with an extra pair of dress shoes.

         Seamus Quilty (Co-Commissioner)

Hometown: Gurnee, Illinois

Major: Mechanical Engineering

What I like best about Morrissey: Although the rooms are small, you form a great community with the rest of the guys in Morrissey because you don’t spend too much time just hanging out in your room. You end up chilling in common rooms and in the center lounges.

Random Fact: A Fathead of Clay Matthews was put up in my common room and it took all of my energy to not rip it down and put up a Brian Urlacher one over it.

Advice to Freshmen: It can be difficult to find time outside of school work, but if you don’t procrastinate and manage your time well, try to get involved in activities in Morrissey and around ND. This gives you the opportunity to meet people both in your dorm and around campus.

Funny Fact about another staff member: Erik Rayno’s only way to bag a classy lady is to give her two tickets to the gun show … and see if she likes the goods.

Major: Mechanical Engineering

What I like best about living in Morrissey: Bonding with your section mates in the common rooms

Random Fact: Tyler Eifert is my 3rd cousin

Advice to Freshmen: Force yourself to talk to people at the beginning, and stay out of your room. You will meet a lot more people that way and make great friends right from the start, then you won't have to force yourself to talk and you'll just start having fun.

Funny Fact about another staff member: Anthony Acuna likes soda.

Jeff Chapa

jefferychappa

Hometown: Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

What I like best about living in Morrissey: The common rooms, there is so much room for funtivities! Also, the brotherhood the dorm facilitates, manorites and cockroaches, alike.

Random Fact: I can, in fact, believe that it is not butter.  Think about that!

Advice to Freshmen: Contrary to popular belief, going to the library to check facebook is NOT studying.

Sean McCloskey

seanmccloskey

Hometown: Marlton, New Jersey

Major: Chemical Engineering

What I like best about living in Morrissey: The camaraderie within Morrissey is unmatched by any other dorm.  Since nobody likes to spend time in their closet-like rooms, the common room is the social center of the section.  Everything that happens in common rooms promotes growth of brotherhood.

Random Fact: The twins in The Devil Wears Prada are my cousins.  I am friends with a 3-time Pokemon World Champion.

Advice to Freshmen: Don't get into a routine.  Branch out; join clubs and participate in section/interhall/campus events.  Your experience will be much more fulfilling if you do many different activities.

Shadmn Minir

shadmnminir

Hometown: Mount Holly, NJ

Major: Chemical Engineering

What I like best about Morrissey: Morrissey's best quality is the tight brotherhood that is forced upon its residents, with an open-door policy required in order to breathe and find SOME space in the broom closets we live in allowing for close friendships and bonding with guys from all over the nation and the world.

Random Fact: I'm a brown guy from the East Coast that's not a guido, not Italian, and not smelly. Take it or leave it.

Advice to Freshmen: Slow frosh year down! You're eventually going to get trapped into a routine at college and all the days will blur together which may or may not be good for grades. However, when you look back in retrospect, you'll see how much stuff you missed out on doing because you focused on work too much! Stop and smell the roses and go out and do all the crazy stuff this University offers every single day, there is always something to do.

Funny Fact about another staff member: Stephen Schafer once cursed out screamed at a TA for giving him an A- instead of an A on a paper. That TA is now in a mental hospital. Stephen has a 4.0.

allow everyone to interact. Morrissey is also conveniently located by the dining hall and the

gym, true necessities to men.

Random Fact: I once unscrambled eggs.

Advice to Freshmen: Bring seasonal clothes. The rooms are very small, and you won’t have

room to pack your winter clothes before fall break comes around. Then you can trade some

summer attire for winter gear. You’ll need it.
